About Desert Safari Dubai
No trip to Dubai is complete without a desert safari. A short drive from the city, the dunes of the Arabian desert become a playground for 4x4 dune bashing, quad and buggy rides, sandboarding and camel rides.
Evening safaris finish at a desert camp with Arabic coffee and dates, henna, a barbecue dinner and live entertainment such as Tanoura and fire shows. Morning, sunrise and private safaris are available too, so there is an option for every schedule.

Best time to visit
October to April is the most comfortable season, with warm days and cool desert evenings. Summer safaris still run, but the afternoon heat is intense — sunrise and evening options are the best choice then.
Getting there
Most of our desert safaris include pick-up and drop-off from Dubai hotels and residences in a 4x4 or comfortable vehicle — check the details on each tour. The dunes are usually around 45 minutes to an hour from the city.
Good to know
- Wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes or sandals; bring sunglasses and a light jacket in winter.
- Dune bashing is not recommended for pregnant women, young infants or anyone with back or neck problems — gentler options are available.
- Tell us about any dietary needs in advance; vegetarian food is usually available at camp.
- Carry some cash for optional extras such as photos and quad bikes.

Yes, families are welcome. If you have very young children, we can suggest a gentler safari or skipping the dune bashing part.

Light, comfortable clothing, closed shoes or sandals, sunglasses and a hat. Evenings can be cool in winter, so bring a light layer.
Is hotel pick-up included?
