About Al Quoz

Al Quoz is a large district between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, best known to visitors as Dubai's creative quarter. Its warehouses have been transformed into art galleries, design studios, independent cafés and event spaces — most famously at Alserkal Avenue.

It is a refreshing contrast to Dubai's malls and skyscrapers, and it sits close to Mall of the Emirates (home of Ski Dubai), Al Barsha and Downtown Dubai.

Plan your visit

Best time to visit

Galleries are indoors, so Al Quoz works year-round. Cooler months from November to March are best for walking between venues. Check gallery opening days before you go — many are closed on certain weekdays.

Getting there

Taxis and ride-hailing are the easiest way to reach Alserkal Avenue and other venues in Al Quoz. The nearest Dubai Metro stations are on the Red Line along Sheikh Zayed Road, a short taxi ride away.

Good to know

  • Check exhibition and opening times before visiting galleries.
  • Combine Al Quoz with Mall of the Emirates and Ski Dubai on the same day.
  • Wear comfortable shoes — you will walk between warehouses.
